Openreach have announced that The Communication Workers Union (CWU) will shortly be taking industrial action. This will take the form of two 24-hour strikes which will take place on Friday 29 July and Monday 1 August 2022.

“The Communication Workers Union (CWU) ran 3 separate ballots across BT, Openreach and EE. The result of the ballot was announced on 30 June 2022 and Openreach members voted in favour of industrial action.
The CWU have today, Friday 15 July 2022, notified Openreach that they will be taking industrial action. This will take the form of two 24-hour strikes which will take place on Friday 29 July and Monday 1 August 2022.
We’ll do everything we can to minimise any disruption whilst the industrial action is taking place and to keep your customers connected. Our focus will be making sure our network is running, safely and effectively, as we do every day.”
